Organizing Trails

The trail system all starts with the existing routes that have been used historically.  With the ever chaning land ownership and increasing development, these routes are constantly being challenged and forced to change.  The Big Lake Sno-Cruisers Trail Coordinator nominates/appoints members to become leaders of smaller sections of trails throughout the county.  These Section Leaders along with the Sherburne County Snowmobile Trail Association Trail Coordinator are responsible for meeting with landowners, government officials, businesses, and other stakeholders to plan safe, congruent, .and approved routes.  Once all the Land-Use permits are in place, then physical trail work can begin.  If you ride, please:
